Innovation prize: winning system

At Glastec 2006 in Düsseldorf, minimo_^FR was awarded 1st Prize in the “Synthesis“ Category of the “AIT Innovation prize Architecture and Glass“ , by the architectural magazines AIT and XIA Intelligente Architektur. The award recognises products that meet demands and challenges from architects in a particularly notable way. Important criteria for the judges are originality, technical inventiveness and ingenuity and, first and foremost, high-quality functional and creative characteristics!

Minimalist System!
The Jury’s assessment:

This high-quality minimalist system satisfies the desire for unobtrusive, filigree transom-mullion constructions. In the process the prize-winners have succeeded in providing a profile elevation width of 30 mm. The facade designed for the New Thermal Spa in Merano impressively demonstrates that the construction is suitable for standard between-floor heights and transom-mullion grid patterns whilst complying with technical guidelines.

Architectural Quality!

This technically innovative realisation is architecturally convincing and represents a quantum leap in the ongoing effort to find optimised profile dimensions and visible elevation widths. In the view of the jury, this contribution therefore deserves to be awarded the Innovation Prize 2006 in the category “Synthesis”.
